This two storey  house has used  steel support beams. Notice in the pic that the steel beam is lower than the wood frame.  We use Rondo clips and battens to lower the  plaster sheets below the steel.  This adds to the cost of a house. Chat to your builder. The blue strips  are Rondo battens.

There are specialist firms who install bats.  However  we have experience in using and installing various bats, in those  areas not covered by specialists, eg  above suspended ceilings.
